Honestly, it's probably the main reason I'd consider spending such a large amount of money on what I think are pretty minor improvements to the current PS5... especially with no disc drive (I have some disc games) and no stand!

I won't. Not because I wouldn't get a new console fro GTA 6 but because I am not a PS fan. I always hated the controllers. lol
I know it sounds silly but I could never get used to them. I had a PS 2 and went over to Xbox with the 360 and stuck with them since.

Nah. I am waiting for next gen to get a new console. I have only had my current one for a few years. I stick with the same console a minimum of 5 years and I tend to buy them a few years after they are new as well.

I am considering it so I voted yes. I am not 100% yet but I have been wanting a new console for a while and this is the only game right now that is set to be released that I would consider it for.

Nah. No money for it. I am trying to save to move and money has been so tight that I am not even buying much in terms of gaming in general. I am just playing what I already have.

If I were to get one, it would have to be for more than just GTA 6 and I have not seen enough games I want or would want to justify getting a new console right now.

Nah. I have no interest in the console personally. I have a gaming PC and an Xbox. I plan on getting the new Switch. If a new Switch was not coming out, I would consider it maybe.

Same here. I want to see what else will be coming out for it. I don't need a new console but if I have the extra cash and there are a few games worth getting it it, I will be getting one.

And this version of the console is going to cost $700 USD... I would have considered it maybe if it was cheaper but no way am I spending $700 on a console when I have other options that are cheaper.

I actually wanted one, I still do but if GTA 6 will have issues running on it I will just wait for the PS6. I want to move back to PlayStation cause I feel like Microsoft can't be taken seriously with their consoles anymore. I don't even think they care about them being successful anymore.

This made me firm on saying no for it. Especially with the price tag. I am not going to pretty much downgrade my system to not being able to play physical discs and not having a stand for that much money.

A friend of mine said they are doing some raffle at work where they can win one. Something they do every year for the end of the year. Like you have to reach a certain quota or something to have your name put in and you can keep hitting it each month. He was able to get his name in it every month so he has high odds of winning it but if he does, he intends on selling it. I am hoping he sells it to me for a discount LOL
I would not be so on the fence with getting one if it was cheaper.

Nope. No interest. Seems like a mid-tier console release IMO and should cost no more than $500. Even still, I am not planning on going back to PS until PS6.

I don't know anyone considering getting the console. Not a single person. Not for GTA or any other game. Likely because the economy in the US is doing so bad. It is one of those things that falls under unnecessary spending. People just can't afford to spend money on new consoles right now.

Why? Scalpers have already gotten the disc drives and stands. FFS. Why do they let this happen?

Man this is a very good question. I'd probably buy it instead of waiting a year or so before the pc version of grand theft auto 6 comes out too. Man that's like torture to me you know.

If I didn't already have a console, I would but I have one and have only had it 2 years. I switched back to console from PC for certain games and I am not about to drop $700+ on a new console.

My brother said he is getting it for the next game. His PS started having issues and couldn't be fixed so he has been without a console for almost a year. Decided to just wait for this one instead of getting another PS5 standard.
